Born in Colne,Lancashire, (Joy Wadsworth)
I studied Art in London, Portsmouth and Brighton.
After an Art education at Goldsmiths College of Art, Portsmouth Polytechnic and Sussex University, I taught Art and Ceramics in Portsmouth and in Harrow.

Since 1979 my work has been widely exhibited in Britain, Europe and the U.S.A.
My work is in private collections worldwide.

Art Therapist with Teenage neurological patients at Guys and St. Thomas' Hospital, London. The group worked with Paper Porcelain and enjoyed seeing their work fired and finished.
Chairman of Harrow Open Studios in 2011. A founder member, I was responsible for obtaining an Arts Council Grant for the group in 2009.
i have left the group in order to spend more time developing my new ceramic work.
In February 2012 I was elected a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
